Privacy Policy

Stickie is a personal hobby project for creating stickers on Android.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Stickie processes, how it is used, and your choices.
You can use Stickie without an account.
Information Stickie Processes
Content on your device
When you use Stickie's capture feature, Android provides Stickie with a capture of your whole screen. Stickie then crops that capture on your device to the area you selected.
Screen recordings capture screen video only and are processed on your device. Stickie does not record microphone audio.
Imported images and videos, captures, and editor data are processed on your device and are not uploaded by Stickie.
When Stickie saves a capture or recording to your device's gallery, that gallery copy belongs to you. Deleting the capture from Stickie does not delete the gallery copy.
Finished stickers and packs
Finished stickers and pack information may leave your device when:
- you use optional cloud backup; or
- you explicitly export stickers to Telegram.
Pack information may include pack names, which stickers belong to a pack, their order, and their assigned emoji.
Account information
Signing in with Google is optional and is used for cloud backup.
If you sign in, Stickie receives information needed to identify your account, including your email address and account identifier and, where provided by Google, your name and profile picture.
Stickie does not receive your Google password.
Telegram export information
If you use Telegram export, Stickie creates a random installation identifier so the export service can recognise your installation.
If you connect Telegram, the export service may also receive information provided by Telegram, such as your Telegram user or chat identifier and language code, together with information needed to create and update your sticker packs.
The random installation identifier is not an advertising ID or hardware identifier.
Network information
When Stickie connects to online services, those services and their hosting providers may receive your IP address and standard request information as part of normal internet communication.
Stickie contains no advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting software.
Stickie does not collect location, contacts, SMS messages, call logs, microphone audio, or financial or health information.
How Information Is Used
Information is used only as needed to:
- provide Stickie's features;
- provide optional cloud backup and restore;
- authenticate your backup account;
- create and update Telegram sticker packs when you request it;
- operate Stickie's online services; and
- protect those services from abuse.
Stickie does not use your information for advertising and does not sell your personal information.
Cloud Backup
Cloud backup is optional and requires signing in with Google.
When enabled, Stickie backs up finished sticker files and pack information needed to restore your sticker library.
Captures, imported originals, and editor data are not backed up.
Backup files are stored in private cloud storage and are not publicly accessible. Access to backup data is restricted to the signed-in account.
Stickie uses HTTPS when transferring backup data.
Cloud backup is not end-to-end encrypted.
Telegram and WhatsApp
Telegram
Telegram export happens only when you choose to use it.
When you export a pack, the required finished sticker files and pack information are sent through Stickie's Telegram export service to Telegram so the pack can be created or updated.
Sticker files temporarily staged by the export service are deleted within seven days after the export work is completed.
Once stickers have been published to Telegram, they are handled by Telegram under its own terms and privacy practices. Deleting your Stickie account does not delete content already published to Telegram.
You can disconnect Telegram from inside Stickie.
If you want Stickie-held Telegram export records removed, email [email protected].
WhatsApp export happens directly between Stickie and WhatsApp on your device.
Stickie does not upload WhatsApp sticker packs to its own servers.
Content added to WhatsApp is handled under WhatsApp's own terms and privacy practices.
Data Retention and Deletion
Data stored locally by Stickie remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
Files already saved to your device's gallery are separate from Stickie's private app data. Deleting a capture, sticker, account, or other Stickie data does not delete those gallery copies.
Cloud backup data is retained while your Stickie account exists unless you delete the current cloud backup earlier or delete your account.
Delete data
Delete data removes your current cloud backup while keeping your Stickie account and the library stored on your device.
This does not sign you out or delete your local stickers, captures, or packs. Because automatic backup remains enabled, Stickie then begins backing up your current on-device library again from scratch. Data that remains on your device may therefore be uploaded to your cloud backup again.
Delete account
Delete account permanently deletes your Stickie account and its associated cloud backup metadata.
When deleting your account, you can also choose to erase the Stickie library stored on that device. This option is off by default.
If you do not select the local-library option, your local stickers, captures, and packs remain on the device, while your local account session and backup tracking are cleared.
If you select the local-library option, Stickie deletes locally stored captures, stickers, and user-created packs. Default packs remain but are emptied.
Deleting your account does not delete files already saved to your device's gallery or content already exported to Telegram or WhatsApp.
Stored cloud backup objects are also scheduled for deletion. If the underlying storage service is temporarily unavailable, deletion of those stored objects may be deferred and retried. Your Stickie account and associated backup metadata are deleted as part of the account-deletion process.
Account deletion does not currently remove records maintained by Stickie's Telegram export service. If you want Stickie-held Telegram export records removed, email [email protected].
Other deletion actions
Removing a sticker from one pack does not delete the sticker from your Stickie library or from other packs.
Deleting a pack deletes the pack but keeps its stickers in your library.
Deleting a sticker everywhere removes that sticker from Stickie and from every Stickie pack that contains it. Where cloud backup is enabled, the corresponding backed-up data is removed through backup reconciliation.
Deleting a capture removes the capture, its associated sticker, and related files in Stickie's private app storage. Any copy previously saved to your device's gallery remains.
Signing out and uninstalling
Signing out keeps your Stickie account, cloud backup, and local library.
Uninstalling Stickie causes Android to remove Stickie's private app data from that device. It does not by itself delete your Stickie account or cloud backup, and it does not remove gallery files or content already exported to Telegram or WhatsApp.
Stickie's private app data is excluded from Android's backup and device-transfer system, so Stickie's private local database is not intended to be preserved or restored through Android app backup after uninstalling.
If you no longer have access to the app, you can request account deletion at:
alldatwater.xyz/stickie/delete-account/
You may be asked to verify that you own the account before the request is processed.
Service Providers
Stickie uses:
- Google for optional account sign-in
- Supabase for authentication, cloud-backup metadata, and backend functions
- Cloudflare R2 for private cloud-backup file storage
- Railway for hosting Stickie's Telegram export service
- Telegram when you choose to create or update Telegram sticker packs; and
- WhatsApp when you choose to add sticker packs to WhatsApp.
These services may process information as needed to provide their respective functions.
Security
Stickie uses HTTPS for network communication and is configured to reject unencrypted network connections.
Cloud backup access is restricted to the relevant signed-in account, and cloud sticker storage is private.
Stickie's private app data is excluded from Android's backup and device-transfer system.
No method of storing or transmitting information can guarantee complete security.
Children's Privacy
Stickie is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 has created a Stickie account, contact [email protected].
